Preface
The internet is changing, again.
Every era of technology has redefined how businesses interact with customers.
First came the storefront - where businesses met customers in-person.
Then came the website - everyone moved online and businesses could now reach the entire world.
Then mobile - putting commerce and services into everyone’s pocket, everywhere, at all times.
Now, a new interface is emerging - one where AI agents, not just people, navigate, transact, and collaborate on our behalf. It’s expanding access, reshaping productivity inside enterprises, shifting how decisions are made, and enabling entirely new business models.
This is the dawn of the Agentic Internet.
Our Thesis
At Ogment, our mission is simple:
To make every business accessible to AI agents.
Just as websites have become essential for every business,
MCP servers will become essential to enable transactions with AI agents.
Ogment exists to make that transition fast, easy, and secure.
Current State
MCP is incredibly easy to get started with, but its simplicity hides pitfalls. Anyone can build a basic server in an afternoon, yet making it production-grade could require re-inventing wheels (security, reliability). And while the vision of a universal AI-tool interface is compelling, wrapping every REST endpoint in MCP will only overwhelm agents, leading them to perform poorly.
